⁸ And she (having already been instructed by her mother) said, “Give me John Baptist’s head here, on a platter.”

⁹ And the king was sorry. Nevertheless, because of the oath, and those who sat with him at the table, he commanded it to be given to her;

¹⁰ and sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
